Victoria O. Franklin, 80, Cloverdale, passed away Saturday morning at Putnam County Hospital. Born April 21,1904 in Decatur, Ind., she was the daughter of Fred V. and Mary (Hill) Mills. On Nov. 30, 1933, she married Rev. Benjamin H. Franklin, and he survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Ott, Florence, Ala., Mrs. Elizabeth Minoto, Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Kathryn Thorneycroft, Elmhurt, Ill., and Mrs. Mary Swanson, Battle Creek, Mich.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Franklin was a retired high school teacher.  She taught at Rowan, Rochester and Greencastle, retiring in 1969 after 12 years at Cloverdale. An Indiana University graduate and member of the national Kappa Delta, she was a member of the Methodist Church at Cloverdale.  Services were conducted Monday morning from the Cloverdale Methodist Church with Revs. Gary Schaar and Jeremy Swanson officiating. Interment was in Elm Ridge Cemetery at Muncie.  Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale was in charge of arrangements. – kbz
